What things you should learn in 1st year of computer engineering?

So in 1^st year you will have two semesters(sem-1, sem-2). So from my experience I am saying that you really don’t want to waste this valuable time. Now I am in final year and honestly I regret of wasting my first and second year time. But lucky for you I am here to guide you 😊.

So you have came in 1^st year of engineering after a very hard work of blood and sweat in your 10^th 11^th and 12^th class. So you might think that now I should enjoy this time in college and be chill. But my friend you cannot be more wrong you should utilize this time wisely the tips I am going to provide you will take just 1 hour of your daily time and in return you can have a very successful life ahead.

·       For sem 1^st :-

1)   Learn any particular language

Now first step for you is to learn any particular language you like. To see which language to learn at beginning and where to learn it click here. You must understand core concept of langauges that you want to learn don’t go through language deeply go slowly and give your brain some time to digest. You really must learn any language in depth. It will take you approx 1 to 1.5 months to learn any language with depth.

2)   Learn data structure

Once you have learned language now you can go through data structures and algorithms. Although this subjects will come in your degree mostly data structure will come in 3^rd sem and algorithms will come in 4^th or 5^th sem depending on your college for me it came in 5^th sem.

(3) Learn framework for your language

Now a days in each and every company they use framework or library for building software. I recommend you to learn any frame work you like in your language and start building projects from it.

This will be beneficial for you for getting job as companies working in framework which you already know and you have build many projects in that will help you to get  placement easily.
